GX4 Image Grabber Excellent Vision Solutions
What tests can be performed on cell phone cameras with Dothinkey's Image Grabber product: GX4?
Dothinkey's Image Grabbers (e.g. GX4 series) are mainly used for camera module testing. Combined with their high-precision image acquisition capabilities, they can perform the following key tests on cell phone cameras:
1. Resolution and Sharpness Test
Support transmissive test card with light box to simulate
standardized light environment and ensure consistent test
conditions.
2. Color Accuracy Test
Using grayscale and color test cards (e.g., 11-step grayscale
charts), analyze the camera's color reproduction ability under
different lighting to ensure parameters such as white balance and
color temperature.
3. Dynamic range and noise test
Evaluate the performance of the camera in alternating light and
dark environments by using high contrast scenes or dynamic range
test chart cards to detect any overexposure, underexposure or noise
problems.
4. Interface Compatibility and Stability Testing
Camera modules supporting USB, MIPI and other interfaces are
connected to verify the stability of data transmission under
different protocols. For example, testing driver loading and
interface compatibility through Video4Linux framework.
5. Autofocus and Exposure Performance Test
Combine with dynamic targets or motion graphics cards to test
autofocus speed and accuracy.
6. Image format and encoding support testing
Verify the compatibility of camera output formats (e.g. RGB24,
RGB565, JPEG, etc.) with the capture card to ensure that the data
stream is properly parsed.
7. Software integration and automated testing
Support integration with Halcon, LabVIEW and other machine vision
platforms (e.g., the HDevEngine call example in webpage 3) to
realize automated testing process, including image analysis,
parameter configuration, etc.
For more detailed test scenarios or hardware parameters, please refer to Dothinkey's official documentation.
